Childhood Executive Functioning Inventory
The CHEXI is a rating instruments for parents and teachers that has been developed for measuring executive functioning in children age 4-12 (although it has been used with children as young as 3 years in at least one study). The ADEXI is the adult version of the CHEXI and it is available both as a self-report and as a rating for a significant other (e.g. a partner, parent, or close friend). All versions of both the CHEXI and the ADEXI are freely available for both researchers and clinicians. A teenage version of this instrument called the Teenage Executive Functioning Inventory (TEXI) is under development and will hopefully be available in the fall/winter of 2019. It is our wish to also establish a Preschool Executive Functioning Inventory (PEXI) for children 1.5 to 4 years of age and we want to get in touch with researchers who would like to collaborate with us in this project.
