The CHEXI includes four subscales: Inhibition, regulation, working memory, and planning. However, a factor analysis of CHEXI results from children in kindergarten was only able to identify two factors referred to as Inhibition (inhibition and regulation subscales) and Working Memory (working memory and planning subscales).
